This is a test of camera angles. There is no plot line, other than the roads I take to get to work.

My new camera is a lipstick/bullet camera that sticks to my helmet and plugs into my camcorder. It's easier to handle on the bike than the entire camcorder. This is a sequence of shots on my way to work on Saturday, to illustrate the possible camera angles.

  • It's clear that the shots can only be used as part of a whole because there's no way to hold a camera still on a bike. Looking at an entire sequence using just this camera would make me woozy.
  • High end or not, the tiny CCD in the camera isn't going to produce as sharp a picture as the regular camcorder, which is itself not broadcast quality.
  • The lens used here is pretty wide angle, so straight lines curve. I have a more telephoto lens too.
  • It's an issue to make the sound flow from one shot to the next.
